Reality TV show ‘Married at First Sight’ groom Simon Blackburn was kicked out of the Melbourne Cricket Ground after his unruly behaviour during the Boxing Day Ashes Test between England and Australia. In a clip doing the rounds, Simon can be seen drinking a mug off beer after which the crowd at the MCG encouraged him to drink another.
“Another Simmo,” a person was heard screaming before seeing him throw a plastic cup on the ground. Thereafter, Simon tried to drink a second mug of beer before the security guards, present in the stands, were seen approaching him. The Melbourne-based FIFO employee later revealed that he was thrown out of the stadium for “putting on mittens halfway through the day”.
He said that he was trying to go to a second location to “jump on the beers” before being kicked out. The incident occurred after a spokesperson for Nine said that Simon was removed from the MAFS show after “social media content was discovered.”
Simon Blackburn removed from reality show
“When unacceptable social media content was discovered relating to Simon Blackburn, we immediately took steps to remove him from the program. We will not make any further comments,” the network said in a statement, Daily Mail reported.
Blackburn was also evicted from the MAFS reality show after the producers discovered racist and homophobic videos of him. A shameful video of Blackburn emerged where he can be seen making misogynistic comments about a woman he earlier dated.
It was Ms Seracino, who reached out to the producers about Blackburn’s videos after coming across ‘red flags’ about her within 24 hours of the release wedding. He mentioned that she would “stay on YouTube all day” instead of making money. Moreover, he also called her the C word plenty of times.
As far as the Melbourne Test is concerned, the Aussies have managed to carry on their dominating run. On the first day, the Aussies bowled the Three Lions out for 185 in 65.1 overs.
Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon picked up three wickets apiece. Mitchell Starc also accounted for two scalps. Joe Root scored a half-century for the Brits, but he didn’t get much support from the other batters.
