Perth-born Andrew Tye was a late bloomer in the domestic circuit. In BBL04 Tye was a major contributor to Perth’s second successive Big Bash title and was labeled as ‘find of the tournament’ by the Australian T20 captain Aaron Finch. In 2018 IPL, the right-arm pacer was the highest wicket taker of the tournament with 24 wickets from 14 matches.

The 32-year-old bowler who holds the record for most T20 hat-tricks could be the stand-out player for the most successful BBL franchise and his performances with the ball will play a huge role in Scorchers’ success. Tye is very clinical with his variations with the ball and this is the reason why he enjoyed success during IPL 2018. In BBL 07, the Western Australian lad took 16 wickets at 8.8 balls per scalp.
