English batsman Ben Duckett became the most recent addition to the long list of players announcing their Best XI teams. When asked to pick his Best XI in a conversation with the official media handle of the Lord’s Cricket Ground, Ben Duckett name a strong side. However, surprisingly enough, there were no mentions of any Indian or Pakistani players.

He named Alastair Cook as the opener of his side along with former Australian opener Matthew Hayden. Hayden, who has the top score of 381 in Test cricket, was indeed a firepower at the top order. Duckett went on to mention that it would be Alastair Cook who would lead his team. At number three, comes the current mainstay of the English batting Joe Root. Root is one of the top four modern day batsmen.

The next in line for Ben Duckett was West Indies batting great Brian Lara. Lara holds the record for the highest individual score for an individual in Test cricket. In the lineup, the next two players were Proteas cricketers. AB de Villiers, who is currently known as the modern day master of the came, is at number 5 for Duckett. Former South African all rounder Jacques Kallis is the man at number 6.

Kallis is arguably the best all-rounder to have played in the modern era. As the wicket-keeper, Ben Duckett opted to have Adam Gilchrist. The bowling department is an Aussie-heavy one. Shane Warne is the solitary spinner. Brett Lee and Glenn McGrath are joined by the English bowling spearhead James Anderson in the list. The contributions of Lee and McGrath need no introduction and Anderson is one of the leading pacers of current time.

Here is the All Time Best XI of Ben Duckett:

Alastair Cook (c), Matthew Hayden, Joe Root, Brian Lara, AB de Villiers, Jacques Kallis, Adam Gilchrist (wk), Shane Warne, Brett Lee, Glenn McGrath, James Anderson.
