Chittagong Vikings, captained by Mushfiqur Rahim, have been amongst the most in-form teams in this edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). They are currently placed in the third position having played only four matches out of which they won three with their only defeat coming against Sylhet Sixers. They would next be up against the Khulna Titans at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

In their previous meeting, the Vikings prevailed in a super-over in Dhaka. Rahim’s team would be playing after a gap of six days and it would be interesting to see how they get their act together. The Titans, on the other hand, lost against the Comilla Victorians in Sylhet in their last match and subsequently, lost their fifth match this season. Another loss could dent their hopes of qualifying for the playoffs.

The pitch in Sylhet has gotten better and now the scores are moving up as well. In the last two days, the batsmen have found it easy, batting under the lights and bowlers have had to put in the hard yards. Khaled Ahmed is the specialist fast bowler with Nayeem Hasan and Sunzamul Islam being the spinners.

The onus would be on the duo of Junaid Khan and Lasith Malinga. Taijul is the lone spin bowling option.
