Chattogram Challengers face Khulna Tigers in the ongoing ninth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Monday, January 09, 2023, at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. Both teams will meet again in Match no. 19 on Friday, January 20 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
The Challengers lost the opening match of the new campaign against Sylhet Strikers by an eight-wicket margin and are placed at the bottom of the points table with a net run rate of -2.750. On the other hand, the Tigers also suffered defeat in their opening game of the season at the hands of Dhaka Dominators by six wickets. They are in the fourth position with an NRR of -0.454.
Talking about the Head-to-Head affairs, both sides who are yet to lift the coveted trophy, have clashed in 11 encounters so far in the history of the league with Chattogram having a slight advantage with six victories as compared to the Khulna’s five.

Veteran Bangladeshi player Mushfiqur Rahim leads the batting chart with 241 runs to his name in these fixtures. He is followed by Mahmudullah (219) and Rilee Rossouw (186).
