The new seemed to have started on a very happy note for Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh. The southpaw was named in the Indian squads for the ODI and T20Is against England. The ODI series commences on January 15 and Yuvraj is all set to stage a comeback. The World Cup hero of India, Yuvraj Singh, last played in ICC World T20 against Australia at Mohali. An injury ruled him out of action thereafter. His last ODI appearance came 3 years ago against South Africa at Centurion.

Life has not been all that easy for the left-hander in the recent times. Time and again he has proved his fitness and form in domestic cricket to stage a comeback to the national side. The 34-year old all-rounder did just that this time around as well. Playing for Punjab in the Ranji Trophy this year, he amassed 672 runs in 8 innings at an impressive average close to 84.

His top score was of 260 to go with another century and two fifties this season. Hence, it is safe to deduce that national comeback was bound to come. He was on the fringes of the national comeback in the recent series against New Zealand as well. However, he had missed out back then. Now that he has made a comeback, Yuvraj Singh could not hold on to his excitement.

A few moments after being named in the Indian side for ODIs and T20Is against England, a very excited Yuvraj could not hold back his emotions on Twitter. He tweeted a report of his comeback and the Indian squads and had a happy message to go with it.

He wrote, “Yeah baby. tra laaa laa laaaa.” This was in addition to the tweet by the PTI that read “National selectors bring back Yuvraj Singh @YUVSTRONG12 in both ODIs and T20 against England. @bcci #selection #IndvsEng.”

Well, surprisingly though, Yuvraj Singh later deleted his tweet. It was his moment to rejoice and perhaps did the right thing in expressing it. The motive behind deleting it is known only to the man who helped India win the ICC World T20 2007 and ICC World Cup 2011.
