Rohit also might consider retiring from the T20I format to prolong his international career and it is very important for him to manage his workload from here on. The right-hander is currently India’s best opener across formats and India will need to groom a captain if Rohit decides to retire from the T20I format.
The upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 will provide all answers to the question mark over Rohit’s captaincy future and it won’t be a big surprise if Rohit decides to retire from T20Is after the ICC event since there is no major T20 tournament for the next two years.
