Smriti Mandhana was the epitome of consistency during the campaign. She provided fantastic starts to her team. The Maharashtra-born opening batter's standout innings came in the virtual quarter-final clash against New Zealand, when she scored 109 off 95 balls.
During the 10-team tournament, Smriti finished as the second-highest run-getter and the highest for the Indians. In nine innings, she slammed 434 runs at an average of 54.25 and a strike rate of 99.09. The left-handed batter also played an important knock of 45 runs in the final against South Africa, making invaluable contributions in the unforgettable victory.
