1. Cameron Green

In the absence of David Warner, Cameron Green got a chance to play the T20I series against India. The opener took advantage of the opportunity and scored 118 runs in three T20Is, at a stellar strike rate of 214.54. His sensational performance in the competition helped him at the 2023 IPL auction too.

Witnessing his potential as an opener, Mumbai Indians (MI) invested INR 17.5 crore in him. While getting him at the auction, MI engaged in a bidding war with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) also. Now, after getting sold at this humongous amount, Green’s responsibility will be to be influential as a batter to make his team champions for the sixth time.

Observing his remarkable numbers as an opener, the MI team management could trust him to begin the innings with either Rohit Sharma or Ishan Kishan. Apart from batting, the franchise will also like to avail of his services as a bowler. The 23-year-old bagged a fifer for Australia against South Africa in the ongoing Boxing Day Test at the MCG.
