Even with no clarity over when the maverick Jasprit Bumrah is to join the team, in Trent Boult, Deepak Chahar, Corbin Bosch, Shardul Thakur, and captain Hardik Pandya himself, they have a skilled set of fast bowlers. Ashwani Kumar was reliable for them last season and keeps his place in the squad.</p>
<p>Mitchell Santner leads what is an overseas-dominant spin attack, with England all-rounder Will Jacks, who is coming off a brilliant T20 World Cup, and Afghanistan’s exciting mystery spinner AM Ghazanfar. They have stacked their squad with very reliable starting-quality bowlers and backups in both pace and spin departments. Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna and Kagiso Rabada are the attack leaders, with reliable backups in the form of Jason Holder, Ishant Sharma, Luke Wood, and young speedster Ashok Sharma, who was the joint-highest wicket-taker in SMAT 2025.</p>
<p>Their options in the spin department are also plenty. Rashid Khan and Sai Kishore are to continue as lead spinners, with Washington Sundar and the evolved Glenn Phillips as off-spin options. They also have in their ranks the talented Manav Suthar, Nishant Sindhu and the experience of Jayant Yadav.</p>
