This year, the competition is being held in the 20-over format once again, as the upcoming T20 World Cup gets underway in February 2026, set to be held in the Indian subcontinent.

India have lost the least number of matches in T20 Asia Cup history. They won the 2016 Asia Cup without suffering a defeat. However, in the 2022 edition of the tournament, the Men in Blue lost two games and couldn't retain their title.

In the ongoing Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates, the Suryakumar Yadav-led side has remained undefeated so far. They have registered victories against the hosts, the UAE, and arch-rivals Pakistan so far in the campaign.
