Cricket is more than just a game in India. It is prevalent in almost every corner of the country and almost every child in the country dreams of playing for the national team. Youngsters go through school and club cricket to get to state cricket, which acts as the pathway to playing for India. The domestic cricket scene in India is extremely prominent and has been the means to nurture budding talents. Several of these cricketers have gone onto represent the nation and have achieved numerous feats over the years.

5. Uttar Pradesh (25+ players)

Uttar Pradesh might have not provided a bunch of cricketers to the Indian cricketing setup. However, those emerging from the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association have gone onto make it big in the Blues. UP being a strong cricketing hub has major cities like Lucknow, Kanpur and Varanasi, the cities that have generated some genuine talents such Suresh Raina, Mohammad Kaif, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Praveen Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav amongst others.

Raina and Kaif, apart from their middle-order batting, were live wires on the field. Bhuvneshwar had a wonderful career with Team India and was often compared to the likes of Wasim Akram for the potent swing he produced. Kuldeep has been one of the most sought-after names in the recent times. He recently starred in India's Asia Cup 2025 campaign.
