1. Marizanne Kapp’s 5/15 against Gujarat Giants

With the mixture of veterans and experienced youngsters, DC have done excellent in the tournament. Under the most successful international captain Meg Lanning, the team has won the majority of matches comfortably. In the ninth match of the league, DC showed their dominant side against GG with the help of their bowlers.
Winning the toss, GG captain Sneh Rana opted to bat first on the batting-friendly surface of DY Patil Stadium. Opening the innings with the ball, Marizanne Kapp utilised her experience in the game and wreaked havoc on batters from the first over. Spearheading the team’s bowling attack from the front, she bulldozed the top order of GG.
Scalping the wickets of Sabbineni Meghana, Laura Wpolvaardtm, and Ashleigh Gardner in her first two overs, she shattered the confidence of her rivals and held the control of the match in her hand. The veteran concluded her spell with magnificent bowling numbers of 5/15 that helped her team to cease GG on a mere 105/9. In the end, Kapp’s breathtaking efforts won the game for her team and she also received the Player of the Match award.
