The Match No. 8 of the World Championship of Legends 2025 will be played between England Champions (ENG-C) and South Africa Champions (SA-C) on Thursday, July 24 at the Grace Road in Leicester.

Out of the two matches which have not been interrupted by rain so far, ENG-C have lost both their matches by narrow margins. They beat the Pakistan Champions by five runs and followed it up with a 10-run win against the West Indies Champions. Their clash against Australia Champions was washed out after rain interrupted play post 17.1 overs of the hosts' innings.

On the other hand, the South Africa Champions have won both their matches up until now. Their opening win was a nail-biting contest which was decided via a bowl-out against West Indies after the scores were tied after the DLS (Duckworth-Lewis-Stern) method. Their next match was a much more convincing triumph against India Champions. AB de Villiers and then the bowlers sealed a dominant win for the Proteas.

After a low score in the opening game for his team, AB de Villiers seemed to be back to his best against India Champions during when he smacked an unbeaten 30-ball 61-run knock. He is also the leading run-getter for his side after playing a couple of games, and when he takes the field on Thursday, he will be confident of replicating similar performances.

Probable Best Bowler: Ajmal Shahzad

Ajmal Shahzad bowled an excellent spell against West Indies Champions with the new and old ball. He conceded only eight runs in his four-over quota. He has three wickets in two outings thus far, which is an indication that the pacer is in great rhythm to bowl. As a result, the English side will be hopeful of yet another impressive outing from the 39-year-old.
