The Rangiri International Stadium in Dambula is all set to host the second T20I of the ongoing three-match series between Sri Lanka (SL) and Pakistan (PAK) on Friday, January 9. The visitors are 1-0 up inb the series after winning on Wednesday by six wickets.
Sri Lanka, the hosts, started the series with an unlikely outcome, as their batting core failed to convert starts into big scores. In the opening game, Janith Liyanage looked the most comfortable at the crease, but it wasn't enough to post a big total on the board. To keep the series alive and be fully prepared for the T20 World Cup at home, the Lankan Lions will have to enter the second match with the confidence to win.
Pakistan, on the other hand, were absolutely brilliantly and their all-round contributions ensured that they were able to start the series with a win. Chasing the 129-run target with 20 balls to spare, the Men in Green gained an important lead in the series. They will be looking to build a winning spree and also clinch the series with yet another win tonight.

Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium — Pitch Report
Only four out of the ten matches played at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium have gone in favour of the chasing teams. Batting first has always been an exciting option on the pitches at this venue, but dew also plays a part in influencing the match results. The previous match of the series was also played at the same ground, where Pakistan chased down the target comfortably. As a result, opting to bowl first will not be a horrible option either.

PAK vs SL — Probable Best Performers
Probable Best Batter: Pathum Nissanka
Opening batter Pathum Nissanka has enjoyed some terrific form in the recent past, but could not reflect the same in the series opener. However, he will use be backing his beliefs and try to score some important number of runs in the upcoming contest. His form will also be crucial for the hosts emerging victorious, with series on the line.
Probable Best Bowler: Salman Mirza
Salman Mirza is leading Pakistan's pace attack in the absence of seniors like Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf, and did full justice to his chance in the opening match. From the very first ball, Mirza kept things tights and did not let the opposition batters open their arms. He finished his four overs with figures of 3-18, as the Salman Agha-led side were able to restrict the Lankans to 128.
