The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced that the revenue generated from the third T20I of the three-match series between Bangladesh and Pakistan will be donated to the unfortunate families' victims of those affected by the tragic jet crash at the Milestone College in Uttara as well as to the July Shaheed Smrity Foundation.
Aminul Islam Bulbul - the BCB President, spoke on Bangladesh cricket's way of observing a moment of remembrance for the victims of Monday's fatal crash, which has taken at least 30 lives up until now. More than 170 were injured after the training jet crashed into the school campus in the capital. As a result, the board wants to do its part towards a social cause.
“Cricket in Bangladesh is more than a sport, it's a part of our national soul. At times of grief and remembrance, we must stand together as a community. The BCB is humbled to contribute in a small way to the healing process for those who have suffered so deeply in these recent tragedies. Our thoughts remain with the families and loved ones of the victims,” stated Bulbul, as quoted in the press release from the board dated Thursday, July 24.
