India Women skipper Harmanpreet Kaur shared a picture of the World Cup trophy tattoo on her left arm three days after the Women in Blue secured their maiden title by defeating South Africa in the finals at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai, winning the game by 52 runs.

Seeing the tattoo, the social media has been left ablaze. The Instagram post has drawing significant attention from netizens. Harmanpreet's decision of getting a tattoo done on her skin signifies how much this 50-over World Cup win means for both her and Indian cricket as a whole, as this is the first time that the women's team has won an ICC title for the country.

“Forever etched in my skin and my heart. Waited for you since Day 1, and now I will see you every morning and be grateful,” she captioned the post.

The caption of the post indicated the sheer value of the title triumph. Harmanpreet also admitted that winning the Women's World Cup was her dream since the very beginning, and she will always be grateful to the team and proud of herself for attaining the coveted feat.

The middle-order batter recently opened up on what winning the trophy meant for her. She revealed how she always wanted to transform women's cricket since pursuing cricket as a child. Harmanpreet also pointed out how winning the World Cup was her childhood dream.

"I was dreaming, when will I wear this blue jersey? I think this means a lot to me, a young girl who didn't know about women's cricket, but still dreaming, that one day, I want to bring that change in our country. Personally, it's a very emotional moment. Because, it was my dream since childhood. Ever since I started playing, it was my dream to win the World Cup one day. If I get an opportunity to lead my team, I don't want to miss this opportunity," stated the Moga-born in a video released by the BCCI.

The 2025 instalment was Harmanpreet's fifth Women's World Cup appearance for India. She registered 260 runs in eight innings at an average and strike rate of 32.50 and 89.04, respectively. Her highest score of 89 came against Australia in the semi-final clash. The 167-run stand with Jemimah Rodrigues proved match-defining at the end.
