Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) leg-spinner Amit Mishra attributed his performance in the five-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to making detailed assessments of the playing conditions and mentally visualising the shots that batters are likely to play against his bowling. Mishra's two wickets were crucial in LSG's victory over SRH in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). He dismissed Washington Sundar and England's Adil Rashid, restricting the opponents to a score of 121/8.

Mishra explained about his success during the match by stating he attempted to read the wicket better and did nothing extra. He also stated that he felt very happy with his performance and the team's victory, which has given him confidence for the next encounter.

"I didn't do anything special, just tried to read the wicket better, analysing the kind of shots batters will play against my bowling. And I met with some success. I am very happy with my performance and that the team won and built confidence for the next match," Mishra said during the post-match press conference.

Mishra went on to say that LSG's plan was to bring in Ravi Bishnoi early because his skiddy balls may be challenging for batters. The 22-year-old leg-spinner came in to bowl in the seventh over and dismissed Harry Brook in the ninth.

"When the ball is new, it skids a lot, and we brought in Bishnoi first because his ball skids, which gives little time to batters to react. I was brought in late (13h over) because I like to spin the ball, and when the ball is a bit old, it spins more, and I can use my googly and other variations better. That was the plan," he said.

The 40-year-old further spoke about his camaraderie with Bishnoi, who was crucial in both spinners' victory against SRH. He stated that Bishnoi always listens to his advice and enjoys guiding him.

"Bishnoi is bowling really well and both of us are a different kind of bowlers. The best part is the bonding between us, whichttps://youtube.com/h is really great. He always takes my advices and is a keen learner. I try to guide him a lot," he added.
