India (IND) and Australia (AUS) will meet at Thiruvananthapuram's Greenfield International Stadium in the second T20I of the five-match series on November 26. Following a somewhat lackluster performance in the series opener, India's youthful bowling unit is bracing itself to take on the robust Australian batting lineup. Despite clinching a narrow victory in the first game at Visakhapatnam, except for pacer Mukesh Kumar, India's bowlers found it challenging to stem the run flow and lacked accuracy.

Over in the Australian camp, Josh Inglis's century in the series opener served as a positive boost, particularly as he took charge as the opener. However, the decision to push Steve Smith to the top order didn't quite pan out well, with the experienced batter struggling to pick up the pace. Both teams are eyeing significant improvements in their bowling departments, with Australia possibly considering introducing leg-spinner Adam Zampa based on the pitch conditions.

Weather forecasts indicate a 55% chance of rain on November 26 in Thiruvananthapuram. Recent days have seen showers and the match day is anticipated to have some thunderstorms, which could impact the game. As per Accuweather.com, there is a 55% probability of precipitation and 11% chance of thunderstorms. The temperature will be a maximum of 32 degrees Celsius, with the lowest of 25 degrees Celsius. The likelihood of rain disrupting play is partial, however a full length match is on the cards nonetheless.

Pitch with less purchase for batters

Historically, the wickets at Greenfield International Stadium have not served high-scoring encounters. Previous international matches at this venue have witnessed either low totals or abbreviated matches. The average first innings score in the last 10 games at this stadium stands at 148. Opting to bat first seems preferable here, given that both teams lack the bowling arsenal and chasing becomes tougher under the lights at this ground.
