As the much-anticipated IPL 2023 waits to be initiated on March 31, severe rainfall has been reported to be hitting Ahmedabad where Gujarat Titans are supposed to lock horns with Chennai Super Kings in the opening clash. Along with the rain, storm and lightning have also been reported to be causing despair ahead of the all-important match.
It had been long anticipated that weather would play a spoilsport on the matchday. However, in what can be seen as a slender ray of hope, AccuWeather.com hasn't shown cloud cover on the match day. Therefore, it can somewhat be expected that the first match of the tournament could go on as planned without facing hindrance from the rain gods.
By the time the match is scheduled to commence, the sky is expected to clear up with the temperature being close to 26 degrees Celsius.
