Left-arm seamer Jaydev Unadkat has made a significant mark in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Known for his skilful seam and swing bowling, Unadkat achieved a remarkable milestone during the recent exciting clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI) on Wednesday, March 27.

Unadkat's journey in the IPL has been truly extraordinary, as he has become the first Indian player to represent eight different franchises. The 34-year-old speedster, now a key addition to the Sunrisers line-up, has embarked on this remarkable journey through the IPL landscape.

In the recent IPL auction, Sunrisers Hyderabad secured Unadkat's services at his base price of INR 2 crores, marking a new chapter in his seasoned IPL career. After his time with Lucknow Super Giants in the previous season, Unadkat has started afresh with the Hyderabad-based franchise in IPL 2024.

Unadkat's IPL journey began in the 2010 season, when he joined Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as part of their squad for the third edition of the cash-rich league. Since then, the Saurashtra pacer has had a captivating journey, representing various franchises across different seasons.

From Kolkata Knight Riders to Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), and a brief return to KKR, the left-arm pacer's IPL voyage showcases the diversity and dynamism of the league. The senior cricketer's stints with Rising Pune Supergiant, Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians, and Lucknow before joining SRH highlight his versatility and adaptability.
