'LSG need to perform collectively'- Tom Moody on LSG's chances in IPL 2025

The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are in a tough position in IPL 2025 right now. The Rishabh Pant-led side are currently seventh on the table and will have to win all three of their games by big margins to secure a place in the playoffs this season.

The Lucknow franchise has been struggling with some inconsistent performances from their key players this year. While the side has shown glimpses of some great performances, it has not been enough to dominate the crucial moments of the game. Former IPL-winning coach Tom Moody has given his insights on the performance of the franchise, saying that the team has to perform collectively to give themselves a chance in the tournament. Moody also reveals the key factors that the team should concentrate on to succeed in their upcoming game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

“At the end of the day, LSG need to perform collectively. They started the season well, with Nicholas Pooran leading the way with the bat. But since his form has dipped, players like Rishabh Pant haven’t had a strong season, and David Miller has also misfired in that finishing role," the former Aussie all-rounder said.

“That has put a huge amount of pressure on their bowling unit. What they need now is for their bowlers to perform at their very best. The batting must improve significantly. If they can bring both those elements together, then yes, they can compete strongly against Sunrisers," Moody added.

The next three games of LSG

Apart from the upcoming game against the Hyderabad franchise which will be taking place on May 19 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, the next two games will be tough for the Super Giants. The next game will be played against the Gujarat Titans (GT) on May 22 at the Narendra Modi Stadium and last game will against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on May 27 at their homeground.
