Australia cricket’s power couple, Alyssa Healy and Mitchell Starc have made headlines with the successful sale of their North Curl Curl residence on Tuesday, February 13. The five-bedroom property, which had previously failed to find a buyer at a higher price, finally changed hands just days before its scheduled auction this weekend.

The North Curl Curl house, designed by renowned architect Koichi Takada on behalf of former Miss Universe-turned-developer Jennifer Hawkins and her builder husband Jake Wall, had initially been listed for a lofty $9 million last year. However, it failed to attract any bids during the auction in November 2023. Undeterred, the cricket power couple decided to revise their expectations and enlisted the help of real estate agents James Eyden and Michael Clarke from Clarke & Humel Property.

With a revised guide price of $8 million, the home garnered significant interest. Nine.com.au reports that it ultimately got sold for substantially more than the guide, likely around $8.5 million.

As per reports, Starc and Healy are moving on to Charlotte Park estate in Terrey Hills. This move follows their record-breaking purchase last year when they acquired the estate for a staggering $24.5 million from Simone and Darren Mills, co-founders of luxury home-building firm Cadence.

Notably, Starc’s financial value has gained massively in the recent past. In December, the pacer shattered records when he was purchased for INR 24.75 crore ($4.42 million) by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League auction. On the other hand, Healy has become the captain of the Australian team after the retirement of Meg Lanning from international cricket.

On the other hand, just like Starc and Healy, Steve Smith too sold his designer Bronte house recently. He has reportedly earned $6.7 million from the sale.

Meanwhile, Healy will next feature for UP Warriorz in the second edition of the Women’s Premier League in India while Starc will represent Australia in the series against New Zealand.
