All 10 teams have started their preparations for the upcoming 16th edition of the Indian Premier League and the T20 extravaganza will, as always, turn out to be a mouth-watering contest between all teams. All ten teams managed to build a strong squad during the IPL 2023 auction, and with a mix of experienced and fresh faces, the IPL 2023 is going to be very interesting for all the players.

But almost every team is facing a setback as they either have a player missing out on the first few games, or players being ruled out of the tournament due to various injury issues. The Royal Challengers Bangalore will be on the hunt for their maiden IPL title, but they will not have the services of Josh Hazelwood as the Australian pacer is recovering from an injury.

Another player who had been a doubtful starter for RCB this year was Glenn Maxwell. Maxwell had been recovering from a leg injury and had been out of Australia’s international outings as well. But ahead of the IPL 2023, the all-rounder opened up about his recovery and fitness, and while speaking on RCB Bold Diaries, he said:

“In the last couple of years, that is everything that players have talked about, so finally to get back here after a couple of years, it’s very exciting and we are all pretty pumped to play in front of our home fans finally. The legs are okay. It’s alright. It’s still going to be a couple of months before I am at my 100% but hopefully, it is good enough to get through this tournament and still do the job. See you all at the Chinnaswamy stadium.”

RCB kick off their IPL 2023 campaign on April 2

RCB will kick-off their IPL 2023 campaign on April 2 at their home ground, the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, as they’ll be facing Mumbai Indians. After their campaign opener against the five-time champions, they’ll take on Kolkata Knight Riders for their first away game, scheduled to be played on April 6 at the Eden Gardens Stadium.

All the teams will play a total of 14 games in the league stage, which is divided into seven home games and as many away games. The Faf du Plessis-led side will play the final game of the league stage, that is the 70th game, against Gujarat Giants.
