Virat Kohli is one of the most revered cricketers in the sport and serves as an inspiration for many. However, a section of the cricket fraternity questions his nature as a human being as he wears his heart on his sleeve and doesn't shy away from getting into verbal altercations on the field with his opponents. He has mellowed down considerably in recent years but something that hasn't changed is his ability to mesmerise fans as well as experts with his superlative skillsets.

Naseem Shah recently addressed the former Indian captain as a "big star" and spoke about his humble demeanour. Shah said that Kohli is focused and passionate when he is on the field but off it, he is self-effacing.

“Virat Kohli is such a big star but he has no attitude – he is a very humble & simple guy. When he is on the field, he is so focused and passionate but off the field, he is very humble,” the astute right-arm pacer told Saama TV.

Kohli recently skipped the first two Tests between India and England in their five-match series due to 'personal reasons'. Later, he decided to opt out of the last three matches as well. His former Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate and close friend, AB de Villiers, said in a video on his official YouTube channel that the star batter was expecting the birth of his second child. However, the South African legend went on to apologise for 'sharing false information, which was not true at all' a few days later.

Meanwhile, Shah missed the ODI World Cup 2023 after suffering a shoulder injury during the Asia Cup. He underwent surgery and recently made a comeback during the Pakistan Super League clash between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars. Playing for Islamabad, the 21-year-old picked up the wicket of David Wiese and conceded 36 runs in his four overs. The Shadab Khan-led team eventually won the match by eight wickets with 10 balls to spare.
