After entertaining the fans with an action-packed T20I series, which ended in a draw (2-2), Pakistan and New Zealand will lock horns in a five-match ODI series starting on Thursday, April 27 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi. The two teams met in a three-match ODI series, earlier this year in January 2023 which New Zealand won by 2-1.

Pakistan have an upper hand in the ODI series played between two nations on their soil as they have won five out of the seven series. In the total 20 series played between the two nations in their ODI history, New Zealand have won 12 while Pakistan have won seven with one ending in a draw.

The Kiwis will hope to replicate their performance from the last two matches of the T20I series and beat a full-strength Pakistan team in their den. The Tom Latham-led side will hope that Mark Chapman replicates his stupendous run from the T20I series where he was awarded Player of the Series for scoring 290 runs from five innings.

On the other hand, after missing a golden chance to seal the T20I series in the final two games, the Babar Azam-led side will be eager to stamp their authority on the Kiwis in ODIs and crush their second-string team.
