Ajay Jadeja heaped praise on Gujarat Titans' (GT) batting sensation Sai Sudharsan after he scored a match-winning century against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the IPL 2025 (Indian Premier League) on Sunday. The former champions made light work of a 200-run target as Sudharsan scored an unbeaten 108 off 61 balls, hitting 12 fours and four sixes. GT captain Shubman Gill also played a brilliant innings of 93* not out off 53 deliveries as the visitors romped home with 10 wickets and an over to spare.

Jadeja stated that Sudharsan has outshone India's potential future captain, Shubman Gill, in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The left-handed batter currently holds the IPL Orange Cap, having amassed 617 runs from 12 matches at an average of 56.10 and a strike rate of 157. Meanwhile, Shubman is the second-highest run-getter this season, having aggregated 601 runs from 12 games, averaging 60.10 and striking at 155.70.

The former Indian batter also added that Sai Sudharsan has scored his runs without taking too many risks, unlike his opening partner. Jadeja noted that Sudharsan's game is very pleasing to the eye. He opined that Shubman was struggling to time the ball against Delhi and had to use his power game to score his runs, whereas Sudharsan didn't seem to face any difficulty against Axar Patel and Co.

“Sai Sudharsan has outshone the future India captain. His batting is pleasing to the eye. It is not like he was only ahead of Shubman in the match against Delhi Capitals. He has looked a better batter than Gill in the previous matches as well. His batting is risk-free compared to Shubman’s,” Jadeja said on Star Sports.

"Sai is playing with a more accomplished cricketer who plays regularly for the Indian cricket team. Gill was not able to time the ball against Delhi and needed powerful hits to get going, but it was not the case with Sai, who looked at ease," Jadeja concluded.
