Experienced cricketer Mohammad Rizwan was seen sharing his words of wisdom with his Rawalpindi Pindiz teammates ahead of their fifth game of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026. The franchise has posted a video of the incident through their official handle, which has gone viral on social media.
The Pindiz skipper was well aware of the fact that the franchise were entering their fifth PSL game on the back of four consecutive losses. However, he did not want to let the team's morale feel low ahead of a must-win encounter in Karachi, so he decided to give a motivational pep talk in the huddle. However, since he was speaking in Urdu, a few of his foreign Pindiz players, like Sam Billings, were seen clueless about what Rizwan was talking about.
"Kisi bhi time kar sakta hain ball, yeh kar sakta hain, woh kar sakta hain yaha wicket aayegi, waha wicket aayegi, match khatam hoga.
Chaar matches gone hamare liye; hamara environment waha pe tha hi nahi. Simple si baat. Koi ek ek match hamare isse accha finish karne hain," Rizwan was quoted as saying.

Translation: "We can get a wicket on any ball. This guy can take a wicket; that guy can. A wicket can come from here, it can come from there, and then the match will end. This is what brave teams do. And these are the situations in which you come to know if a team is brave enough.
"Easily winning four games, six games, or ten games; playing the qualifier; playing the final – it will feel a bit odd. However, when no one keeps any hopes from our team, and then we do the impossible, then they will come and ask us about our story, our history, how we did it, and how it happened. Tonight is that night for us. Those four games have already gone for us; our environment was not there. It's a simple thing. But now, we have to take all our games as one at a time and finish them."

As it turned out, Rizwan's speech did not help the Pindiz enough, as they lost their fifth-straight game of the tournament, succumbing to Quetta Gladiators by 61 runs at the National Stadium, Karachi. While the Pindiz are not officially out of the tournament, only a miraculous effort in the field can save them to climb up on the board, with an outside chance still keeping them alive in their maiden PSL campaign.
