The eighth edition of T20 World Cup will kick-start from October 16 with Australia hosting the marquee tournament. Bangladesh will have to lock horns with India, Pakistan, South Africa and two other teams from the First Round.
The Tigers have never managed to win the mega event. They are very much capable of competing and can spoil the chances of other teams. They will take on Afghanistan and South Africa in warm-up fixtures before the regular tournament.
Bangladesh suffered a poor outing in the Asia Cup 2022 as they were handed consecutive defeats by Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. Moreover, they will need to be on their toes as the T20 World Cup Schedule does not have any breaks and things could go downhill with back-to-back matches.
Bangladesh were knocked out of the group stage last year and have never been able to relish a great campaign in the previous editions of the T20 World Cup. If the squad is to move beyond the group stages, they will need to show true character during crunch moments of the game.
