Pakistan could not perform according to their reputation in the Asia Cup and their campaign in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 is also turning out to be quite disappointing.
To make matters worse, a WhatsApp chat of captain Babar Azam has been leaked on national TV by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Zaka Ashraf and it has added fuel to the fire

Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Rashid Latif recently revealed that Babar has been trying to get in touch with Ashraf but the 71-year-old hadn't responded.
"In the Pakistani media, many things are happening. Perhaps they are false news. I will provide you with the true news, which was kept on hold. Babar Azam has been trying to contact the chairman for the past two days, but they are not responding. He is messaging Salman Naseer (Chief Operating Officer), and he is messaging Usman Walha (Director of International Cricket),” Latif said in an interview.
Responding to this allegation, Ashraf went to the extent of leaking what is allegedly Babar's WhatsApp chat with Pakistan's Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer.
“He [Latif] says that I don’t pick up his [Babar’s] call. He’s never given me a call. The chief operating officer or the director of international cricket are expected to speak with the captain of the team," Ashraf said during an interview with a local news channel.
After starting their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign with two consecutive wins, Pakistan have gone on to lose four matches on the trot, and their hopes of reaching the semi-finals are all but over.
Babar, whose captaincy future is reportedly uncertain, will have to inspire his troops as they face Bangladesh at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Tuesday, October 31. Shakib Al Hasan's men have also had a forgettable campaign thus far, winning just one out of the six games they have played.
