Cricket supporters turned up in huge numbers to greet Mohammed Siraj at the Hyderabad airport after the right-arm speedster returned from the recent five-Test tour of England. Siraj ended the England series as the leading wicket-taker with 23 wickets in nine innings, with his career-best match haul of 9/190 in the final Test proving instrumental in India's six-run win at The Oval.
Siraj was spotted attending a call as he was guided by airport authorities and security personnel from the airport's departure terminal to a car waiting for him. The people surrounding the vicinity were spotted waving the Indian tri-colour while chanting Siraj's name.

Having emerged from a humble family setup in Hyderabad, Siraj's performance in the recent series marks another notable instance of what hard work and grit can do. Social media has since been flooded with congratulatory messages for the 31-year-old cricketer.
Siraj proved to be a massive asset for India, as the Shubman Gill-led team ended up successfully retaining the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy by winning the final game of the series and levelling the series 2-2. Gill (754 runs in 10 innings) and Siraj were the standout performers for the touring team.

Siraj bowled a whopping 185.3 overs in nine innings, ending up with an average of 32.43 and economy rate of 4.02. However, more impressive than his stats was the relentless manner in which he put himself on the line for the team's needs.
