India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav recently went viral on social media after sharing a video of himself performing the popular ‘Aura Farming’ dance alongside Women in Blue all-rounder Shreyanka Patil. In the video, the duo can be seen dancing joyfully on a moving cart, mimicking a viral dance trend that has been garnering millions of views on social media.
The Aura Farming dance originally gained attention when an 11-year-old Asian kid performed it during a boat race, captivating audiences with their energetic moves. Recently, Suryakumar underwent surgery following his participation in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 and the Mumbai T20 League. India is currently engaged in a five-match Test series against England. Following this, the team is set to compete in the Asia Cup 2025 before taking on Australia in a white-ball series.
Shreyanka was named in the India A squad for the upcoming Australia tour, but unfortunately failed the fitness test at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and was subsequently dropped from the team. Indian players are keen to pass the NCA fitness test soon and rejoin their squads. Shreyanka, who sustained an injury during the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024, missed the recent successful India women’s tour of England, where the team won both the T20I and ODI series. She is expected to set her sights on the home ODI World Cup this year.
