Former India captain Rohit Sharma won the hearts of netizens with his polite and caring behaviour towards a child at the airport. The 38-year-old is one of the most adored cricketers in India. People can connect with him because of his humble demeanour, as he makes them feel he is one of their own.
The Nagpur-born recently saved a young girl from getting seriously injured while he was on his way to the airport. The legendary cricketer seemed to be in a hurry until the kid came in her way. Rohit gently held the child and asked her parent not to leave her in the middle of the way. Had Rohit not noticed the little one standing in front of him, the latter could have been seriously injured.

Rohit is set to join the Indian team ahead of the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. The first ODI is scheduled to be held at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara on Sunday, January 11. The subsequent matches will be hosted in Rajkot and Indore on January 14 and 18, respectively.
Rohit had an excellent outing in the ODI format in 2025. Earlier in the year, he led the Men in Blue to the Champions Trophy title. After he was replaced by Shubman Gill as the captain in the 50-over format, Rohit played magnificently on the tour of Australia, winning the Player of the Series award. He also performed well in the subsequent ODI series at home against South Africa.
