After an impressive win against Delhi Capitals, Faf du Plessis’ Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) host fierce rivals, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in thir upcoming clash of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023. The two sides have always produced exhilarating cricket and the forthcoming clash will be nothing short of a high-octane thriller.

Regarded as the ‘South-Indian Derby’, the Super Kings have played RCB in 30 matches thus far in the tournament's history. Of these, CSK have an upper hand with wins in 19 games to RCB’s 10, whereas one match didn't yield any result.

RCB found their mojo in the previous game after outrightly dominating DC which led to their second win of the season. On the other hand, CSK head for their next assignment on the back of a narrow defeat at the hands of Rajasthan Royals at their own fortress in Chepauk.

MS Dhoni’s yellow brigade will next lock horns with RCB at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday, April 17. While CSK will look to get back to winning ways, on the flip side, the home team will aim to begin a winning streak.

Pitch and Conditions

The wicket at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is regarded as a batter’s paradise. Considering the lightning-quick outfield and the smaller dimensions of the ground, batters can swiftly get big runs. Bowlers of both teams will need to stay sharp throughout the course of the game and hit the right line and length so as to not leak too many runs. All in all, a competitive game can be expected at the venue between the two sides.
