Pre-tournament favourites and the in-form team India (IND) lock horns with Bangladesh (BAN) in their fourth match of the ongoing sixteenth edition of the World Cup. Match No. 17 is scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. The Men in Blue are on a roll after winning their opening three encounters while the Bangla Tigers have emerged victorious only in one out of the three.

Talking about India’s perfect start to the campaign, they have been one of the most in-form sides after beating Australia, Afghanistan, and arch-rivals Pakistan. After bagging a duck against the Aussies, skipper Rohit Sharm smashed a century and a half-century against the Afghans and the Pakistanis respectively. Star batter Virat Kohli also has two fifties to his name already as the team is looking in great touch at the moment.

The Tigers won their opening clash against Afghanistan but then went on to lose their next two games against reigning champions England the runners-up from the last two WC editions, New Zealand. Shakib Al Hasan and his side will look to put on a better show this time around and give tough competition to the host nation. On the other hand, India will hope to keep the winning momentum going and make it four in four before they face the Kiwis on Sunday, the 22nd in Dharamsala.
