Kane Williamson is arguably one of the finest cricketers New Zealand have produced. Kane Williamson was handed the captaincy post the retirement of Brendon McCullum. His first assignment as captain came against Zimbabwe in a away series in 2016 where he led New Zealand to 2-0 series win as he scored 272 runs in the series and averaged 136 with the bat. In 2021, NZ also defeated England on their own backyard under Williamson and he he became the fourth captain to win a Test Match in England and third captain to win a Test Series in England.
