May the Lord be with him and comfort the rest of the Ngidi family during this difficult time.” Chris Nenzani, the CSA President, was quoted as saying in a media release.
Thabang Moroe, the acting chief executive of CSA also mourned the death of Lungi’s father. “I am taking this moment to pass my condolences to the Ngidi family. It has to be even more difficult to lose a father figure at such a young age for Lungi. May the soul of Mr Ngidi rest peacefully.” Moroe mentioned in his words in the media release.
The body blows for Chennai Super Kings
Chennai Super Kings has been going through a rough patch despite winning their opening matches against Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders. They lost Mitchell Santner prior to the tournament and Kedar Jadhav thereafter following a hamstring injury. To add insult to injury, Suresh Raina would also not be available after suffering a strain during CSKs game against the Knight Riders at the Chepauk.
The misery doesn’t end here for the Super Kings as their home matches have recently been shifted from the city. The Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune will be the venue from now onwards where MS Dhoni’s men would play against the Kings XI Punjab on April 20.
