The arch-rivals India and Pakistan are all set to lock horns in the mother of all clashes at Birmingham on June 4. The iconic clash will take place in what would be the first match for both the teams in the ICC Champions Trophy. Prior to the clash, the hype and build-up to the match has already begun. Amidst all the build up and brouhaha, rookie Pakistan all-rounder has recently quipped that there will be no pressure on Pakistan in the match.

The cricket pundits have started talking about their favorites for the match. The former cricketers are also picking their winners for the big game. Recently, former Pakistani all-rounder, Shahid Afridi had indicated that the Indian team is slightly more balanced going into the tournament. Shadab Khan, the new found sensation of the Pakistani team, who is tipped as Shahid’s successor, has other claims about the tournament though.

As per the quotes in the Geo.tv, Shadab spoke to the journalists on Thursday. He remarked that he wishes to be the part of the cricket contest between the arch-rivals. More importantly, he wants to be the Man of the Match if he gets a chance to play in the tournament.

“If I get a chance I will try to give my 100 percent to play a role in Pakistan`s win against India and become a man of the match,” quoted Shadab Khan.

On the hype of the arch-rivals

Shadab was very impressive in his debut tour in the national colors. He was very impressive in West Indies. Talking about the same, the young leggie conceded that the team has the winning momentum since they beat West Indies in all three formats of the game. He went on to say that he is not feeling the heat of the contest.

“There is no pressure on us. We have won against West Indies in all three formats. Our morale is high. On TV I used to think that Pakistan-India is a high-pressure game but here I am not feeling anything such,” conceded Shadab Khan.
