The round 3 match of the ongoing Darwin and District ODD will see Southern Districts CC facing off the Nightcliff CC on Saturday. After defeating the Tracy Village CC in the first round, the Nightcliff CC lost their next match to the hosts Darwin. The Southern Districts, on the other hand, got a bye in the first round and then they thumped the Pint Cricket Club by 114 runs last week. Both the sides will be looking to register their second win of the tournament.
The weather is absolutely clear for the game to take place. There is no chance of rain at all with the temperature soaring up to 32 Degrees Celsius during the match.
Two B Grade matches were played at the venue in the last two weeks and batting seemed to be very tough. The side batting first couldn’t cross the 200-run mark at all and the bowlers should enjoy bowling on this surface.
Average first innings score: 144 (In two 40-over matches played at the venue this season)
Record of the chasing teams: Won – 2; Lost – 0
