MS Dhoni is one of the rarest players who has a massive fan following all across the globe, with a negligible amount of haters. Ardent Dhoni fans have supported him in tough times when he was going through a dark phase.

Meanwhile, when the world has been grappling with COVID-19 outbreak, MS Dhoni fan clubs have come forward from different states to donate to their state relief funds. The fan clubs have also urged people to contribute and lend their support in the battle against coronavirus pandemic. In the last couple of months, the sporting industry has been hit with a major setback.

The sporting scenario across the world has been at a halt since the COVID-19 outbreak. The positive cases in India are increasing with every passing day and currently, there’s no certainty over the resumption of sporting activities. The much-awaited IPL 2020 has also been postponed indefinitely to tackle the situation.

Kerala Dhoni fans association donates INR 50,000

During these trying times, many Bollywood actors, sports associations and Indian entrepreneurs have donated hefty amounts to PM CARES Relief Fund and Chief Minister’s Fund of their respective states. Former and current India players like Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli have also contributed amid the pandemic.

There was no news on how much MS Dhoni, the former Indian skipper, contributed in the battle against COVID-19 outbreak. Several reports had suggested that he might have done a donation but at the cost of not disclosing his name.

Now, Dhoni’s fan clubs across the country have come forward and contributed a good amount to different relief care funds in the country. One of Dhoni’s Fanclub named DHONIsm took to their official Twitter handle and shared the details for the same.

They said that Maharashtra Dhoni fan club donated INR 13,077, followed by Assam and West Bengal, who contributed INR 11,777 and INR 10,777 respectively. They also added that the fan club from Odisha distributed masks, food sanitizers to needy and underprivileged people. Furthermore, they announced that Kerala Dhoni fan association donated a sum of fifty thousand rupees to CM-Relief Care fund.
