Fans pick the winner of the Champions Trophy 2017

Team India stormed into the semis of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 after thrashing South Africa on Sunday. In anything drastic does not happen, India will face Bangladesh in the semis on Thursday at Edgbaston, Birmingham. Before we move on to the knock-out stages of the elite competition, CricTracker reached out to the common people to see what they think.

Hands down, India is winning it

When our reporter asked the people about their favourite to win the silverware, the obvious answer was India. But exceptions are always there. A gentleman decided to say it from a neutral analyst’s point of view, and his verdict was clear- hosts England. The shock came a few moments later when a lady without thinking for a moment answered- Pakistan. She is definitely very much impressed by Pakistan’s performance against South Africa. Except that, there were a few others who felt that the hosts are in an advantageous position.

To be’ard’, or not to be’ard’: that is the question

Recently, many cricketers decided to shave their beards while following the trend- Break the beard. A lot of fans are not very happy with their decision. Hence, the next question coming in the path of fans was whether they like their cricketers with the beard or without it. The beard fans are walking away with the trophy swiftly here, as very few fans felt that they look better without the beard.

The hottest cricketer with the beard?

As the meter for ‘cricketers with beard’ went up, the next question was- Who is the hottest cricketer with the beard? The majority of the girl’s gang had one answer in their mind- Virat Kohli. They must certainly be jealous of Anushka Sharma. The one who closely contested the Indian skipper is all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma followed the lineup.

The exceptions here are AB de Villiers and Karun Nair. Not many will remember the bearded look of de Villiers. As of Delhi Daredevils’ batsman Karun Nair, very few would have expected his name in such a list.

The winner- The person who decided not to pay any heed and simply said: “I have no idea.”
