Perak Women will take on Selangor Women in the 17th match of the MCA Women's T20 Inter-State Championship 2023-24 on Wednesday (January 3) at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur. Perak have three out of four games and are in second position. Selangor have won their four matches so far and are ranked first in the points tally.

Perak faced Johor Women in their last game and elected to bowl after winning the toss. None of the batters managed to make more than 20 runs for Johor and they could only scored 83 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Nur Dania Syuhada was the pick of the bowlers for the Perak and took three wickets for 11 runs in four overs. Mas Elysa remained unbeaten on 46 runs off 35 deliveries and helped the team win the game in 17.4 overs with six wickets in hand.

Selangor took on Johor Women in their last outing and elected to bowl after winning the toss. Johor were able to score just 61 runs before getting bundled out in 18.1 overs. None of the batters managed to make a double-digit score for the team. Winifred Duraisingam and Dhanusri Muhunan took two wickets each, while Ainna Hamizah, Alia Hisham, and Allysa Ahmad Junaidi picked one wicket each. Ainna Hamizah, the opener, scored 32 runs off 46 deliveries and remained unbeaten. She helped Selangor reach the target of 62 runs in 15.3 overs and win by six wickets. Hamizah won the Player of the Match award for her all-round performance.
