Suresh Raina became the first Indian to score 6000 T20 runs during his 75 run-knock against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rajkot in IPL 9. Raina is leading the Gujarat Lions side. The effort came in his 217th innings. Prior to this, Raina had his loyalties with the Chennai Superkings for 8 years. He has 3 tons to his name in the format so far, one of which came in the IPL. <p>Rohit Sharma is a class act, be it any form of the game. The elegant opener has played for two sides in the IPL, the Deccan Chargers and the Mumbai Indians. He completed 6000 runs during his match-winning knock of 85* against the Rising Pune Supergiants at Pune in IPL 9. It was his 229th T20 match and 219th inning with the bat. <p>Suresh Raina became the first Indian to score 6000 T20 runs during his 75 run-knock against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rajkot in IPL 9. Raina is leading the Gujarat Lions side. The effort came in his 217th innings. Prior to this, Raina had his loyalties with the Chennai Superkings for 8 years. He has 3 tons to his name in the format so far, one of which came in the IPL. He scored his maiden IPL century against the Kings XI Punjab in 2013. He is best remembered for his knock of 87 runs in just 25 balls against Kings XI Punjab in 2014.</p>
<h4><strong>5. Brendon McCullum – 207 Innings:</strong></h4>

<p>The swashbuckling former New Zealand skipper took 207 innings to score 6000 runs in T20 cricket. Playing for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL in 2015, he achieved this feat. It was during the match against Delhi Daredevils at Raipur when he reached the milestone and scored 49 in that game. It was his last game of the season. McCullum has played for four IPL teams – Gujarat Lions, CSK, Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Kolkata Knight Riders. Back home, he is renowned for his performances for Otago Volts. He has 7 centuries to his name and the top score of 158*.</p>

<p>The veteran Australian batsman has played for numerous teams in the T20 format across the globe. The Victorian batsman brought up his 6000th run in his 206th inning when he played for Rajasthan Royals in the 2014 edition of the IPL. He scored 40 against the Mumbai Indians, en route which he crossed the landmark. At that time, he had become only the second batsman in the history of the game to cross 6000 runs in T20s. He has 2 centuries to his name in this format and has played for 18 teams around the world.</p>

<p>Australian opener David Warner reached the coveted milestone during Australia’s victory over Bangladesh in the 2016 World T20 at Bengaluru. He scored 17 off 9 balls during Australia’s successful run chase in that match. He has been a prolific IPL player too, playing for Delhi Daredevils and then leading the Sunrisers Hyderabad. <p>India’s ace batsman Virat Kohli has been having a tremendous run in 2016, averaging in the vicinity of 100 in T20s. During his second ton of the IPL 9, against the Rising Pune Supergiants, Kohli went past the 6000 run mark. He scored an unbeaten 108 in the match to guide his team Royal Challengers Bangalore to a comfortable win. Kohli has been playing for the same IPL side since the first season.</p>
