'Filling our arms with love' - Mohit Sharma and his wife blessed with a baby boy

It is indeed a proud moment for Mohit Sharma. The Indian cricketer and his wife Shweta Sharma have become parents to a baby boy, and the right-arm pacer announced the arrival of his child to the world through a post on Instagram.

Sharma also added in the post that the child has filled his arms with love and has filled his heart with joy. The post from Sharma has garnered 2628 likes so far on Instagram.

“Welcome to the world. Filling our arms with love and our hearts with joy. We proudly announce the arrival of our baby boy. Proud Parents Shweta and Mohit Sharma,” wrote Mohit Sharma on Instagram.

Mohit Sharma played 26 ODIs and 8 T20Is for India

Mohit Sharma featured in 26 ODI matches and 8 T20Is for the Indian side in his career. While he scalped 31 wickets in the ODI format of the game, the right arm pacer prized out 6 willow wielders in T20I cricket. Sharma played his last international match for the Indian side in the year 2015.

Apart from this, Sharma has also played 86 matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well. The 33-year-old picked up 92 wickets in the IPL at an excellent strike rate of just 19.07. Sharma was last seen in the IPL on 20th September 2020, when he turned out for the Delhi Capitals (DC) side against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) outfit.

In that match, Sharma bowled 4 overs, leaked 45 runs, and picked up the wicket of KL Rahul. The match ended in a tie, and the Delhi Capitals emerged triumphant in the Super Over.
