The Australian team is scheduled to tour India for a limited-overs tour. They will be flying into Chennai soon after the conclusion of the Test series in Bangladesh for the first ODI slated for September 17. But the tour itinerary for the 5 ODIs and 3 T20Is hasn’t yet been revealed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as they seek a clearance from the ICC for the two new venues – Guwahati (Dr Bhupen Hazarika Stadium) and Thiruvananthapuram (Green field Stadium).

As per reports, the 2nd ODI will be played on September 21 in Kolkata, the 3rd ODI at Indore on September 24, Bangalore will host them for the 4th ODI on September 28 and the two teams will play the last ODI of the series at Nagpur on October 1.

Following the ODI series, the series in the shortest format of the game gets underway at Ranchi after a gap of 6 days on October 7, the venues for the last two T20Is are Guwahati and Hyderabad where the matches will be played on October 10 and 13, ESPNcricinfo reported. It also quoted a BCCI official stating that the official announcement will be made in a day or two.

Though the board hasn’t officially released the tour fixtures the portal got the information from the associations hosting the matches.

Srinath inspected the venues

The International Cricket Council (ICC) had designated former Indian cricketer and currently a Match Referee in the ICC’s Elite Panel Javagal Srinath to inspect the stadiums and submit a report.

“We were initially supposed to host Sri Lanka in December and Odisha [Cuttack] were supposed to host the New Zealand game in November,” Kerala Cricket Association secretary Jayesh George told ESPNcricinfo. “But, there is a festival in Odisha in November, so we are now hosting the New Zealand game instead.”
