There are numerous faces in this PSL
Shane Watson who is representing the Quetta Gladiators in the this year’s edition of the Pakistan Super League ( PSL), seems to be very much impressed with the capability of Pakistani bowlers in the Twenty20 tournament. Considering the huge variety of talented cricketers playing for their respective franchises in this edition, the Australian all-rounder thinks it is very hard to name a few of them all. He also reckoned that there are many promising players who can play for Pakistan in future.
“There are oceans of talent in Pakistan Super League (PSL) so it is really hard to single out one person in particular. There are so many skillful players out there, especially when it comes to the bowlers whether it is the spin bowling options or fast bowlers. There is going to be plenty of talent coming through for Pakistan. That’s for sure,” said Watson on praising the Pakistani cricketers as quoted by Dawn.
We have a pretty relaxed environment here
Watson was with the Islamabad United in the previous two editions of the PSL. It’s his first year with the Gladiators and the Australian considers himself very lucky to play under the guidance of former Windies great Sir Vivian Richards and former Pakistani cricketer Moin Khan, who is the batting coach and head coach respectively. He talked about the success story of the franchises in the last two seasons of the tournament and also about the expectations this year.
“Quetta is a wonderful team. We have a relaxed environment in our camp but obviously we have had a lot of success in the last two seasons, ensuring a place in the final on both occasions, so expectations are high,” added the former Aussie all-rounder.
