Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, on Tuesday, gave a hint that he’s likely to make a comeback on the pitch in February 2022. During his heydays, Yuvraj was one of India’s prolific all-rounders without a shred of a doubt. The southpaw also won the Man of the Tournament award in the 2011 World Cup where the Men in Blue came out trumps, beating Sri Lanka in the final.

During that period, he was diagnosed with cancer, but he made a comeback for Team India. In 40 Tests, 304 ODIs and 58 T20Is, Yuvraj went on to score over 11,000 runs with 17 centuries and 71 half-centuries. When in full flow, the southpaw was hard to stop. The now 39-year-old also went on to pick up 148 wickets with two four-wicket hauls and one five-wicket haul.

Yuvraj Singh recalls his 2017 knock against England

He made his debut way back in 2000 in the ICC Knockout Trophy in Nairobi and went on to play for as long as 17 years. Singh last played for India on June 30, 2017 in the ODI against the West Indies at North Sound. The left-hander announced his retirement back in 2019.

On November 2, he uploaded a video of his knock from 2017 where he racked up his highest ODI score. In that game against England in Cuttack, Yuvraj scored 150 off 127 balls with the help of 21 fours and three sixes. He also stitched together a 256-run stand with MS Dhoni, who made 134.

In the backdrop, the song ‘Teri Mitti’ from the Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Kesari’, released back in 2019, was playing. India had won the game by 15 runs after scoring 381 for six. Yuvraj became the Player of the Match for his stupendous knock. Yuvraj also believes that it’s the almighty, who decides the destiny of a person.

He captioned the video and wrote, “God decides your destiny !!On public demand il be back on the pitch hopefully in February! Ain’t nothing like this feeling! Thank you for your love and wishes mean a lot to me! Keep supporting 🇮🇳 it’s our team and a true fan will show his or her support in tough times.”
