The Asia Cup is back with its 15th edition and will commence on the 27th of August with a clash between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan at the Dubai International Stadium. The tickets for the illustrious tournament went up for sale online on Monday, the 15th of August. The tickets are sold on a first-come, first-serve purchase policy.

The excitement for the continental tournament soared off the charts when the fixture list was announced last month, with a scheduled clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan on the 28th of August. The fans can purchase the tickets for the games exclusively on the platinumlist.net website.

The website has put up the tickets on sale on the first come, first serve policy, with the fans having to get in an online queue, depending on when they login to the website. The ticket prices start at AED75 (INR 1620). However, the tickets for the high voltage clash between India and Pakistan are priced considerably higher and start at AED250 (INR 5400).

The first batch of tickets that went on sale on the 15th of August were sold out in an instant, and witnessing a monumental demand for the epic India vs Pakistan clash, the organizers decided to bundle the tickets for the particular fixture with other matchdays. The website revealed in an official statement that the fans need to purchase tickets to other matches to get a pass to the game between the eternal sporting rivals.

“Please note that according to the organizers, India-Pakistan tickets will now be available only in packages with other matches,” the ticketing partner for the tournament, Platinum List, said.

The second batch of tickets went online on Wednesday morning and fans can grab them from the official website

The second batch of tickets went on sale today at 11 AM IST, and the tickets for the General East and West (the lowest priced tickets) have already been sold out, with the Platinum, The Grand Lounge, and Sky Box tickets still up for grabs.

Earlier, the organizers had warned people to avoid purchasing tickets from vague sources as many people were reselling their tickets for higher remuneration, which would be deemed invalid for entrance to the designated venue.

“Customers are advised not to purchase Platinumlist-branded tickets resold through so-called secondary ticketing websites or online selling sites as it is possible the ticket may not be valid for entry or will be cancelled,” said Platinum List, as quoted by Khaleej Times.
