Virat Kohli ‘s ability to score runs and look good at the same time has amazed none other than veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, who today said he wonders what all things Kohli does to maintain his looks on the field.
“Cricketers nowadays look much fitter not just while playing but even when they come out of the field. They want to look good and if you see Virat Kohli… he is one guy who is an example not just on the field… what he does with the bat but he also makes sure he looks good. I don’t know what all he does to maintain his good looks,” Harbhajan said at an event in Delhi Apart from Kohli’s good looks, Harbhajan also heaped praises on Kohli’s captaincy.
Under Kohli’s leadership, India have won four back-to-back Test series (Sri Lanka, South Africa, West Indies and New Zealand) and are now ranked number one in the ICC Test rankings. Harbhajan, who has played in 103 Test matches, predicts that Kohli has all the abilities to take Indian cricket to a whole new different level.
“Kohli is brilliant, he is outstanding, he worked really hard for his victories and for his own goals. He is someone who has set those goals not just for himself but also for the team to achieve that and he makes sure everyone works towards it. I wish him all the luck and I am sure he is going to take Indian cricket to different heights,” he said.
However, Harbhajan revealed that he is never focused on his looks when he is on the field.
“Looks never mattered for me when I was in the ground. I only focused on how to take wicket, how to stop the boundaries and how to score runs. That was my only focus and to be honest, I was never so good-looking that I had to focus on it,” he said.
Preparations are also in full swing as one of Harbhajan Singh’s most favorite people is readying up to to tie the knot. He expressed his excitement about the upcoming grand event in a tweet. Harbhajan recently gave a sneak peak of his plans when he posted a crazy dance video on social media, saying he too wants to dance like that in Yuvraj’s wedding. Harbhajan and Yuvraj have been teammates for a long time and share a brotherly relation.
“Did you enjoy it? I plan to do something similar to the dance you saw. In the next video, you will see me doing something like that,” he said.
Yuvraj will marry fiancée and Bollywood actress Hazel Keech in the first week of December.
