ICC announces match official for the semi-finals of the Cricket World Cup 2015: The International Cricket Council (ICC) as the quarter-final stage of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 concluded with South Africa, India, Australia and New Zealand being the four qualified teams has announced the match officials who will officiate during the all-important semi-final contests of the world cup 2015.

Senior Match referee David Boon will head both the games; at Auckland in New Zealand where co-hosts New Zealand and South Africa will battle it out for the position in the final and Ranjan Madhugalle will be the match referee for finals qualification match between Australia and India at the SCG.

ICC announced these and more in a Press Release:

The match official appointments for the semi-final stage of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 have been announced. The first semi-final between New Zealand and South Africa will take place in Auckland on Tuesday with the focus then shifting to Sydney for Australia versus India on Thursday.

The match official appointments are as follows:

Tuesday, 24 March – New Zealand v South Africa, Auckland

David Boon (match referee), Ian Gould and Rod Tucker (on-field umpires), Nigel Llong (third umpire), Bruce Oxenford (fourth umpire)

Thursday, 26 March – Australia v India, Sydney

Ranjan Madugalle (match referee), Kumar Dharmasena and Richard Kettleborough (on-field umpires), Marais Erasmus (third umpire), Richard Illingworth (fourth umpire)

Appointments for the 29 March final will be made in due course.
